Michael Krause
Operations Director

P.Eng
University of New Brunswick 1999

Michael Krause was appointed Operations Director of Newman Hattersley Limited (NHL) in 2008 having previously served in the roles of Sales Manager – CANDU, Project Coordinator, and Sales and Applications Engineer since 2002.  He has 10 years of Canadian and International experience in the nuclear industry.

Michael’s key responsibilities are to provide leadership and support to the Management team of NHL in overseeing the operation of the facility and maintaining the highest level of customer satisfaction.

Michael holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of New Brunswick.  Michael is also a member of the Professional Engineers of Ontario, and sits on the Board of Directors for the Canadian Nuclear Association.

In Michael’s spare time, he enjoys travelling with his wife Jessica, playing hockey and golf, playing the acoustic guitar and listening to all types of music.

 
Nigel Van Zeller
Director of Business and Product Development

Nigel supports the business with his years of experience through bringing forward new initiatives aligned with the needs of our customers.

A significant accomplishment for Nigel includes leading the tendering process for Newman Hattersley's Wolsong Project where he was instrumental in enabling Newman Hattersley to break into new product streams including nuclear ball and butterfly valves, sightflow indicators and pressure reducing devices.

In his spare time, Nigel enjoys spending time sailing with his wife, son and daughter. He also has a love for the outdoors enjoying any opportunity to hike, garden or simply relax outside.

 
Laura Day
Human Resources Manager and Executive Assistant to the Director & General Manager

Legal Secretarial Diploma – Humber College

Laura's role at Newman Hattersley is two-fold. She is HR Manager as well as the Executive Assistant to Lorraine Wiseman.

Laura's responsibilities include but are not limited to recruiting, employment contracts, attendance and vacation maintenance, Employee Performance Evaluation Program , Professional Development Program (coordinating all training and development programs both individual and corporate) as well as the Employee Orientation Program. Laura has been with NHL for almost 8 years.

Laura enjoys playing golf and spending time with family and friends.

 
Siddhartha De
Director of Finance

BComm, Masters in Commerce
Qualified Accountant from Institute of Cost & Works Accountants of India

Siddhartha as Director of Finance is responsible for all financial matters of the company which includes preparation of financial statements, budgets, forecasts, banking, cash flow, risk management, taxation, Statutory Govt., reporting, costing, inventory management. He is also in charge of Capital Asset Management, interaction with Statutory auditors, assists in Internal audits and assists in development and improvement of various Management Information Systems.

Previously at his last place of employment, Siddhartha performed a Cost Audit which benefited the company in cost savings and reduction. He also actively worked on Corporate Tax Appeals which generated the firm significant refunds.

Siddhartha enjoys traveling to his favorite places and spending time with his family and friends.


   
Ramnik Bola

Materials & Sourcing Manager
Ramnik joined Newman Hattersley in July 2006 as our Materials Planner. Ramnik has brought his expertise to Newman Hattersley in the area of supply and materials management. Ramnik is now Newman Hattersley’s Materials & Sourcing Manager responsible for interfacing with vendors and subcontractors for expediting and receiving purposes. As well as sourcing, negotiating and purchasing for all areas of the business.
   
David Scott
Engineering Manager

BBSc in Mechanical Engineering Queens University 2003
David is our Engineering Manager. David has been with Newman Hattersley since August 2006 and has grown in his initial role as a Professional-Engineering-in Training, by learning the nuclear business from the ground up. He also took on the challenge of Interim Engineering Manager in the Fall of 2008. David has recently received his Professional Engineer’s designation and stamp and was appointed as Engineering Manager in January 2009.
